main: a clear lilac shawl, very soft – embroidered with a wide variety of blues, ranging from lilac blues, through cornflower to indigo. Flowers are carefully delineated, embroidery is perfect;
as a pompom: a warm, pure red piece, with wonderful trails of tiny flowers and leaves, painstakingly picked out in silver and white.

jali means literally ‘a net’, which carries the sense of a fine cloth that one can see the light through, rather like a stained glass window.
