WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO

We have been sourcing and importing the very best hand-made woven and embroidered shawls from Kashmir for over 25 years.

We lead and influence all of our in-house work in the production process, from the spinning of top-grade pashmina cashmere fibre, through weaving, dyeing and embroidery to final washing and checking. Our team in Kashmir work hard to ensure the very best quality fibre for weaving and the silk thread for our embroideries.

We can carry out this work at the highest level at every step. Our reputation rests on the encouragement of this special work undertaken in Kashmir, which we have helped to regenerate, and continue to support.

From many countries and walks of life, discerning people from all over the world wear our shawls.  They love our inimitable high-quality embroidery and use of colour. The shawls are very glamorous, and free the wearer from the constraints of fashion tyranny, becoming a hard-working friend in your wardrobe.

We aim to show you the special skills of our craftsmen, to illustrate their artistry in a modern context.  In each collection, the best of the past meets the best of modern design.  We combine the old unhurried techniques that date back to the 17th century with a modern approach to colour and design.

We love our shawls – our commitment to them is more than financial; they bring real quality and difference to a commoditised and mass-produced world, whilst providing reliable paid employment to our Kashmiri team.   We are sure you will love these endearing pieces too.
