some of my embroiderers have been working on these shawls very slowly, and have finally
finished these exceptional pieces. their work is very finely detailed, with complex miniaturised flowers and traditional paisley.
main: exquisite pink shawl, embroidered with glorious flowers using white, pale pink and a soft grey lilac, the whole intricately worked.
as a pompom: pale delicate pink complex jali, exquisitely embroidered with miniaturised leaves, flowers and paisley in shades of teal and pale blue.

jali means literally ‘a net’, which carries the sense of a fine cloth that one can see the light through, rather like a stained glass window.
